Our aviation medical services
I am a UK Civil Aviation Authority Authorised Medical Examiner (AME). I grew up in Manchester and Buckinghamshire and studied Medicine at Southampton University, qualifying in 2000. As a student, I joined the Royal Air Force as a medical cadet and served ten enjoyable years at various locations around the UK and abroad.
During my R.A.F career my role included weekly aircrew medicals, 24 hour airfield cover and regular liaison with the Chief Flight Medical Officer and RAF Consultant Advisors regarding aircrew health matters.
As a result I developed an early interest in aviation medicine which led me to train to qualify as a private pilot. I am fortunate to have 160 hours flying experience with a currently expired UK and New Zealand Private Pilots Licence.
